Jose Abelino Pino, 85, a resident of Anton Chico, N.M., passed away at his home on Saturday, March 22, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Rebecca Zamora Pino; one daughter, Pauline Baca, and one son, Isidro Baca. He is survived by his wife, Maria Candida Pino of the family home in Anton Chico; three daughters: Maria Teresita Baca and husband, Edward Garcia, of Amarillo, Texas, Debby Merlin Baca of Anton Chico, and Lorrie Ann Arielle Pino and husband, Robert Garcia, of Amarillo; two sons, Leroy Anthony and Jose Robert Baca both of Amarillo; grandchildren: Lawrence Baca, Vanessa Baca, Cassandra Candi Garcia, Markus Allen Reyes Baca, Tiffany Victoria Michelle Baca and Krystal Nicole Garcia; great-grandchildren: Mathew Medrano, Isidro Baca, Samuel Baca, and Angel Baca.He was born on Aug. 1, 1928, in Loveland, Colo., and grew up and raised his family in Anton Chico. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting and gun collecting. With impeccable aim, he has caught deer with as many as 8 pt. antler count. He had many rifles but his favorite in particular was his authentic Billy the Kid rifle which contained a love letter to his girlfriend.The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. from the San Jose Church in Anton Chico.
