It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Jerome “Willie” William Handy, who courageously lost his battle with cancer on July 31, 2025, in Colorado Springs.

Born on March 14, 1990, Willie spent his life rooted deeply in Colorado Springs. A dedicated truck driver by profession, Willie traversed the open roads with reliability and determination, earning respect among colleagues and friends alike.

Willie’s greatest passions beyond the highway were his family and the Denver Broncos. A lifelong fan, he brought boundless energy and joy to every Broncos game—whether tailgating before kickoff or cheering with others during match time.

Known to many simply as “Uncle Willie,” he was the beloved brother, uncle, and steadfast anchor for his family. He shared kindness, humor, and unwavering affection in every moment spent together.

Though cancer claimed his life far too soon, Willie’s spirit endures in the love he cultivated and the stories shared at family gatherings and Broncos celebrations. His legacy is one of devotion—to his family, his profession, and his team.

He is survived by his siblings, nieces, nephews, and a circle of family and friends who will forever carry forward the pride and warmth he inspired.
