  • A life well lived

    It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jon Fields, a beloved brother, uncle and son. Jon lived a full life, touching the hearts of all who knew him. His infectious smile and quirky laugh will be deeply missed by all. Jon was a veteran of the Navy where he reached the rank of Boatswain's Mate, Second Class, while serving on a mine sweeper ship, the U.S.S. Grapple in the first gulf war. Jon will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and camping with his family and friends. He loved his family dearly and they were the most important thing in the world to him. He was an avid animal lover having various pets throughout his life. He was also a talented artist and a published poet. He is survived by his siblings Cathy Chapel, Gary Chrismon, Jason Fields, Leslie Bemetz, Cindy Haga, Sean Fields, and Mona Fields. As well as countless nieces and nephews that will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents Jane Hughes and Bud Fields. Jon's presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, Jon.
