Johnny Ballard was the son of the late Wilton and Dorothy Ballard. He was born on September 7, 1953 in Bladen County. He departed on December 14, 2025 at his home in Orlando, FL.

He attended United Pentecostal Church of Christ #2 of Dublin, NC. Johnny was an employee at Columbus Regional Hospital of Whiteville, NC until his health failed. He also worked with Bladen County Hospital and within the School System of Cumberland County.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories to his wife Sharon Ballard of the home; his daughter, Armatha Ballard of Bladenboro, NC; two sons, Montrele Ballard (Keisha) of Orlando, FL, Andre Ballard (Tyria) of Fayetteville, NC; one sister, Andrea Drayton (Welton) of Dublin, NC; three brothers, Charles Ballard of Elizabethtown, NC, Comar Ballard (Margaret) of Tar Heel, NC and Ulysses Ballard (Jane) of Clarkton, NC; eleven grandchildren, Arien Mitchell, Keion Ballard, Jay’don Ballard , Armonie McCray, Tedrick Kennedy, Johnel Ballard Jr., Jay’von Ballard, Senality McIntyre, Tyce McIntyre, Aaliyah McIntyre and Mi’Kel Purdie; two special friends, Alexis and MaKayla; one special daughter, Marquita Smith of Fayetteville, NC; one special son, Lorenzo Wilson, Jr. of Bladenboro, NC and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
