Johnnie Wooten Sr., born on January 9, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Litt B. Wooten and Mary Wooten, peacefully passed away on July 9, 2025. He is survived by his devoted wife, Harriette Wooten, whom he married in the year 30.

Johnnie leaves behind a legacy through his two children, Johnnie Wooten Jr and Jennifer Cooper, and his eight beloved grandchildren.

He attended Booker T Washington High School and proudly graduated in 1969. Johnnie dedicated many years of his life to serving his country in the Army, and later on, he worked at Tinker AFB until his retirement in 2020.

Outside of work, Johnnie had a passion for watching basketball and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his loving nature, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.

Johnnie Wooten Sr. will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
