Mr. John R. Galloway II was born on March 19, 1942, to John Galloway Sr. and Hattie Mae Lewis in Abbeville, SC. John received his formal education through the South Carolina Public School System, where he excelled in his studies.
John accepted Christ as his savior with Springfield Green Olive AME Church at the age of 8 years old. While in this church, he served as a faithful member and a deacon on the Board of Trustees hat truly loved the Lord.
John was employed in Mc Cormick, SC at the Dorn Mill Complex where he was employed for twenty-six years. At this time, this is where he met his wife, Mrs. Sallie L. Galloway. In his leisure, he enjoyed singing in the church choir, serving as a deacon in the church, testifying before God, and spending time with his family.
John was truly blessed in his life. He was born on March 19, 1942, and departed this life on November 24, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving father, John Galloway Sr.; mother, Hattie Mae Lewis; beloved sister, Annie Galloway; and brother, Jimmy Galloway. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sallie Galloway; sister, Emma Woods; eleven children, Joyce Galloway; Robert "Pokey"(Deborah) Galloway, Mcleadis "Butter" Galloway, Ronnie(Sandra) Galloway, Barry(Ida) Galloway, Vernon "Coo Coo" (Sandra) Galloway, Doretta Galloway, Lester Galloway, Wilbur(Monica) Galloway, John Galloway III, and Travena Galloway. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
