Casey, JohnJohn J. Casey, 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at his home. John was born on May 12, 1952 in Queens, NY, son of the late William and Florence (Rieser) Casey. John was married to Elaine Georgia who survives. He was a Mechanical Technician for Chentronics in Norwich. In his free time, John enjoyed sheep farming, tinkering, mechanics and science. He was a member of the Guilford Fire Department for many years.He is survived by his wife, Elaine Casey; daughter, Caitlyn and Adam DiBrango of Guilford, 5 brothers: William of Florida, Larry of California, Paul of Guilford, Joseph of Bainbridge and Peter of Florida; and sister, Mary Holstein of Seattle, Washington, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Aaron Casey, and a brother, Michael. Friends are invited to call from 6:00-9:00pm on Friday, January 13, 2017 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, January 14th at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St. Sidney with Monsignor James Cox as celebrant. Burial will follow in Yaleville Cemetery, Guilford.
