Lortie, John C."Jack"Age 75, passed away on September 2, 2017 at his home in Atwater, CA. John was born on April 18, 1942 a son of the late John E. and Dorothy Lane Lortie. John is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Bob Guzman of Elmira; nieces, Linda Brown of Auburn, NY, and Catherine (Mike) Marshall of Syracuse, NY; great nieces and great nephews, Stephanie Valletta, Daniel, Andrew and Timothy Brown, Alex and Tara Marshall; great great grandniece Lillianna Valletta; several cousins. John served his country in the U S Air Force for 27 years including two tours in Vietnam. After retirement he worked as a truck driver. Keeping himself busy he was very involved in his community teaching kids about fire arm safety and competitive shooting. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. John also was an instructor and coach for the Los Banos Tigers Trap Team. He loved all sports and was an enthusiastic spectator. Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn National Cemetery Columbarium. Arrangements by McInerny Funeral Home.
