JoAnne "Jody" MartinZANESVILLE: JoAnne "Jody" Martin, 79, of Zanesville, passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1933, in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucille Doty Brown. She retired from Bethesda Hospital. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and her greatest love was her family.Surviving are two sons, Joe (Becky) Martin of Zanesville and John (Debi) Martin of Nashport; a daughter, Jerri (Wes) Elson of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Chad (Kylee) Martin, Abbey (Rob) Thomas, Austin (Melanie Havens) Barber, Alec Martin, Megan Elson, and Amy (Terry) Fox; five great grandchildren, Jack Elson, Courtney (Ian) Taft, Katy Adams, Daphne Martin, Briar Barber, and one on the way, Grayson Martin; four brothers, George Doty of Columbus, OH, Fred Doty of Florida, Don Doty of St. Clairsville, OH and Bob Doty of Columbus, OH; four sisters, Nanette Sorg of Martins Ferry, OH, Barbara Littleton of Columbus, OH, Gerri Brown and Jen Rosier, both of Powhatan Point, OH; a brother-in-law, Gene (Ella) Martin of Wintersville, OH; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert D. Martin, who passed away on May 18, 2001; and an infant sister, Laura Jane Brown, who passed away in 1938.Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the funeral home.
