JoAnn Cook, a beloved member of the Saint Louis community, passed away on April 23rd, 2023 at the age of 74. She was born on July 5th, 1948 in Saint Louis, Missouri to her parents, John and Mary Cook.
JoAnn grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri and attended Saint Louis University where she received her degree in education. She was passionate about helping others and spent most of her career as a teacher at various schools in the Saint Louis area. JoAnn was always striving to improve the lives of her students and was highly respected by her colleagues and peers.
JoAnn was deeply dedicated to her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her warm heart and infectious smile touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
In her free time, JoAnn enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. She had a true talent for creating beautiful gardens and her home was always filled with the aroma of her delicious cooking.
JoAnn was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary, and her brother, Michael Cook. She is survived by her sister, Jane Smith, and her nieces and nephews.
JoAnn will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication to others will live on through the countless lives she has touched over the years.
A funeral service to celebrate JoAnn's life will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Saint Louis, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Louis Public Schools Foundation in JoAnn's name.
