Joan M. SinnAGE: 82 • Point PleasantJoan M. Sinn, age 82, of Point Pleasant, NJ passed away at her home on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Joan was born on July 22, 1934 in Hillside, NJ to the late Nelson and Helen Jacobus. She was raised in Hillside, and moved to Brielle, where she raised her family, residing there for 44 years, until relocating to Point Pleasant in 2008. While residing in Brielle, Joan was very active in the Brielle Women's Club and the New Jersey Questers Club. She is preceded in death by her husband, the late Jack F. Sinn in 2016 and by her brother, Nelson Jacobus. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Michael and Stephanie Birch, Timothy and Pamela Birch, Patrick and Rosemarie Birch, Kevin Birch and Stephen Birch and Lisa Gadonniex; her step son Christopher Sinn; her grandchildren, James and his wife Brittany, Joshua, Austin and his wife Nicole, Connor, Avery, Blaine, Stephen, Jarrett, Madison, Caroline, Canyon, Andrew and Natalie; her great grandchildren, Trey, Jace, Lucas, Faith and Bella. She is also survived by her sister, Carol McGonegal and her husband Phillip, by her sister-in-law Gerry Jacobus, her former daughters-in-law Lorrie and Karen Birch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary's By the Sea Episcopal Church, 804 Bay Ave. Point Pleasant Beach, on Sunday, July 9th, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Her cremated remains will be buried in the Church Memorial Garden after services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph Social Service Center, 118 Division St. Elizabeth, NJ 07201.
