Jim Holmes, 78, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away on June 11, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ. Jim was born on September 07, 1943 in Wynn Arkansas.  

He moved his family to the Grand Junction area in 1973 and owned and operated the Surplus City Sporting Goods business for almost 30 years.

In his retirement he spent most of his time in Rocky Point Mexico

He is survived by his son James Holmes III of Shaumberg, IL, daughter Timi Meyer of Grand Junction, CO, and daughter Stephanie Schroer of Las Vegas, NV.

Grandchildren: Melissa Martinez, Michael Martinez, Rebecca Schroer, Alex Schroer, Evan Meyer, Stephan Meyer, Winston Meyer, and Chrissy Crecerelle.

And 6 great grandchildren: Kaylanie, Aiden, Aliyah, Isabelle, Maddie and Melissa.
