We are saddened to announce the passing of Jessie Brown, who was born on March 6, 1943, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He passed away on May 21, 2024.

Jessie was the beloved son of Leroy and Mary Brown. He was married to Elizabeth Smith Brown in 1963, and together they raised four wonderful children: Stanley, Lillie, Barbara Ann, and Eunice. Jessie also leaves behind 10 cherished grandchildren.

He studied at Cummings Street High School and graduated in 1961. Jessie worked at Spartanburg Steel until his retirement in 2003. He was also a dedicated member of the Mason organization.

Jessie proudly served in the Army as a 1st Sergeant in the 365 Rangers unit for 13 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Jessie will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for his family, and his dedication to his country. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
