Jesse S. Gillis, 36, of Glen Burnie, passed away on February 1, 2017. Jesse was born on November 18, 1980 and graduated from Old Mill Christian Academy. "Jess the Mess" was a raging Ravens fan, loved sports, was gifted in rhyme and enjoyed writing song lyrics. His interest ranged from working with his hands in construction and auto repair to sales and real estate. He helped people and was generous with whatever he had. He had a big heart and was tender and kind to hurting people and animals. He loved his friends and family, enjoyed his brothers and took pride in the achievement of his nieces and nephews. The biggest love of his life, his one shining star is his daughter, Cyleigh Gillis. He is survived by his daughter, Cyleigh; his father, James M. Gillis Jr. and his wife, Katherine; his mother, Terry S. Gillis and her fiancé, Butch Groom; his siblings, Trae A. Gillis and his wife, Angela, Rusty R. Gillis and his fiancée, Tabatha Napier, Jason P. Sagel and his wife, Stacie, Jennifer K. Yatto and her husband, Travis; his grandparents, James M. and Edna Gillis, Donna and George Winders, Jerold and Wanda Gardner; and his nephews and nieces, Dom, Taylor, Trent, Payton, Cole, Jordyn, Trenton and Parker. A memorial service will be held at the Arundel Christian Church, 710 Aquahart Rd., Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Monday, February 6th, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cyleigh G.
