Jesse Gatheright was born on October13,1935 in Jackson County Georgia to the late Thomas Gatheright and Chessie J Gatheright. He departed this life on Thursday September 5, 2019 at 4a.m after a surprsing illness.

Jessie recieved his education in the Georgia school system. He married the love of his life Sarah Alice Gatheright in 1974. Jesse held numorous jobs throughout the years including construction 

He was well known for fixing and building things around the house, painting and doing yard work. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and western movies. most importatly he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On the morning of Thursday September 5,2019 Jesse answered the call of the Lord. He proceeds in death his wife Sarah A. Gatheright four brothers James Thomas, Paul Gatheright, Ralph Gatheright, and Kenny Gathright.Two sisters CHessie Lee Gatheright and Nacy Rae. One son Harold Scott and one grand son Roger Carter.

He leaves to mourn five daughters Cardelia Gatheright, Regina Evans, Williamae Thompson, Annette Dargon and Linda Wilson One daughter in law Theresa Wilson. Three sons Robert Wilson, Khilif Bay, Roosevelt Thompson Two son in laws  Paul Hogan and James Palmer. Ten grandkids Spencer, Cadedra, Dwayne, Shaynnia, Jasmine, Robert, Travis, Dontae, Keyonna, and Lakendra. Thirteen great grandkids Nyaira,Amya, Kynlei, Kameryn, Stacie, Aniyah, Jayden, Aubrey, Sharrod, Travis Jr, Zion, Maliyah and Elijah. One sister Cordelia Spencer. Two nephew Curtis and Ralph. Four nieces Chessie, Mary, Mona, and Nazzie Two close friends Stretch and Kenny and a host of other relatives, and clothes friends.
