Jerry M. Jarman, 64Alexandria - Jerry M. Jarman, 64, Alexandria passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a brief illness. He was born on June 7, 1952, in Anderson to Milo and Anna (Thurber) Jarman and has lived in Alexandria all of his lifetime.He was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1970. He also received an associate Degree from Ivy Tech. Jerry enjoyed farming and as a result of that devoted much of his life to agriculture as owner and operator of Jarman Crop Insurance since 1991. From 1972 to 1994, Jerry was Director of Business Affairs for Ivy Tech-Muncie Campus. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially the time he spent on his property in Alabama. Jerry was skilled in computer technology and fond of all genre of music, passions which he shared with everyone. He was the #1 fan of his grandkids. Survivors: 3 Daughters-Bethany Jarman, Josie (Glen) Stewart and Katy Jarman all of Alexandria; 2 Grandchildren-Knox Stewart and Crew Milo Stewart; Sister-Mila Overman-Alexandria; Several nieces and nephews; Special friends-Danny Johnson and Ron Puckett. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 Sisters-Millie Jarman, Betty Jarman, Martha Overman and Mae Sims, nephew-Dan Overman, Brother-in-law-Gene Overman. Services honoring Jerry life and legacy will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria with Pastor Chris Hubler officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery.Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home after 4:00 p.m. on Friday.Memorial contributions are suggested to Alexandria Community Center "Help Fund a Kid" Program through the funeral home.
