Jerry Johnson, 86 of Warrenton VA, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday May 20th, 2023. He was born on March 25ty, 1938, in Hartsville SC, son of his late father Arthur and mother Allie Johnson.

Jerry left his South Carolina home just after his 16 th birthday and moved to Alexandria VA to live with his sister Eunice. Itwas there he met his wife of 64 years Rose on a blind date. In 1960, Jerry was drafted into the Army and served hiscountry for six years. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a diesel mechanic and safety engineer in northern Virginia until retiring in 1993 from ExxonMobil.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Rose Johnson of Warrenton VA; son, Jerry Johnson & his wife, Sandra of CentrevilleVA; son, Daniel Johnson & his wife Heidi of Haymarket VA; and four grandchildren, Justine, Danny, Brandon, and Bryce;three sisters Eunice Smith, Marilyn Shoemake and Alva Williamson all of South Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by three brothers, Ellis, Cecil, and Duel and two sisters Mildred and Eveser.

The family will receive friends at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, VA on June 1 st from 10 to 11am, followed by a service in the funeral home chapel. Jerry will be laid to rest at Culpeper National Cemetery, (New Section)501 E. Chandler Street, Culpeper VA 22701.
