StoeckleJerome 'Jerry' LouisStoeckle passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017, well fortified with the sacraments of the Catholic Church. He was the beloved husband of Puck Donovan Schoettmer Stoeckle for thirty-seven years, the loving father of Jey (Rose) Stoeckle, step-father of Sara, Steve, Mark (Michelle) Schoettmer and Katie Schoettmer (Peter) Winn. He adored his ten grandchildren, Dr. Gina (Dr. Rich) Curry, Christopher Stoeckle, Laura, Stephen, Jeffrey, Michael, Henry, Lily, Caroline Schoettmer and Haley Winn. Each of them had special memories of spending time with Grandpa Jerry. Jerry also had three great-grandchildren, Kiley Frank and Charlie and Caroline Curry.  Jerry was born on September 8, 1928 to Louis and Marcella Stoeckle. He graduated from Western Hills High School and Xavier University. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Jerry was an enormous fan of the Xavier University basketball program and took great pride in offering summer employment to many of the student athletes.  Jerry's business career included twenty-five years as the Assistant Treasurer of Hamilton County, working for Wayne Wilke. He worked with many of the local banks and savings and loans. Jerry was a friend to many in the legal community and worked to influence local politics.  Jerry and Puck travelled extensively over the years, to foreign countries, XU basketball games, and to visit grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose Church, 2501 Riverside Dr., on Tuesday, October 17th at 12:00 noon. Friends and family may visit at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 am to the start of Mass. in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Xavier University.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at: GilliganFuneralHomes.com
