Weber, JeroldJerold J. Weber (Babes), 66, Marshfield, died on Sunday, July 16th, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren at Marshfield Medical Center.Jerry was born on August 6th, 1950 in Marshfield to Eugene and Anna (Ertl) Weber. He attended St. Mary's Parochial School in Bakerville and Columbus High School in Marshfield. He was united in marriage to Ruth Jensen on November 25th, 1972 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville.Jerry grew up on the family farm in Bakerville and carried on the tradition of farming with his wife and children until 2003. It was at that time that he decided to replace his passion for farming with his passion for renovating his beloved cabin. With the help of close friends and family, and a lot of talent and hard work, Jerry brought back to life a deserted 150 year old farmhouse that most thought was not salvageable. Thousands of man-hours later, the restored hand-hewn log walls and stone foundation of the old farmhouse speak to the character of a man with a vision that most couldn't see---A vision of a property that was to be used as a tool to create life-long memories. A place where he could spend invaluable hours with his children, grandchildren, and friends. He greeted everyone with a smile and a kind word, and taught us all to live in the moment and appreciate the truly important things in life. His hands touched every square inch of the cabin and surrounding property, and when you're here, it's as if his arms are wrapped around you.He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and their children, Julie (Tye) Gardner of Marshfield and their children, Ava, Jax, Tripp, Livia, and Raider; Greg (Jolette) Weber of Highbridge and their children, Colton, Kaitlin, and Bryce; Beth (Jeff Lucas) Weber of Marshfield and their children, Tiana, Rylee, and Jadyn. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Miss Jordyn on January 12th, 2005, and a grandson, Derek on March 15th, 2007.Per his wishes, there will be no public visitation or services, but rather a Celebration of Life for Jerry at the cabin with a prayer service starting at 12:30 pm on August 5th, 2017, followed by a day of celebration and fun. Food and coffee/juice will be provided. Bring your children, your stories, and your smiles to help us celebrate the life of a man that impacted the lives of so many.
