Jennifer Lynn Balis (Floyd), a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and proud Navy veteran, departed from this life on July 23, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on November 23, 1946, in Hamlin, West Virginia, Jenni, as she was affectionately known, lived a life marked by service and commitment to her country, serving honorably for 20 years in the United States Navy.

Jenni is survived by her mother, Brunilda Castillo; her loving sisters, Mary Alice Floyd and Anita Castillo; her son, Theodore (Ted) Berndt; and her beloved grandchildren, Demeter, Odin, Hannah, and great grandchild Helios, who will carry forward her legacy of strength and compassion. She was preceded in passing by her father, Louis Floyd, and her brothers, David Floyd and Thomas (Jerry) Floyd.

Family, friends, and those whose lives Jenni touched are invited to attend a service in her honor on Friday, August 16th, at the Angel Fire State Veteran Cemetery at 31 Onate Rd. (County Rd. B4), Angel Fire, NM 87710.
