Nowalk, JeffreyUnadilla—Jeffrey T. Nowalk, 60, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.He was born on November 18, 1956, son of Willard T. and Dolores (Shermatis) Nowalk in Binghamton. He graduated from Chenango Forks High School and received his Associate Degree in Radiology from Broome Community College. His areas of expertise included x-ray, ultrasound and vascular radiology. Jeff worked for many years at The Hospital in Sidney, where he met his wife, Linda Burton. They were married on February 25, 1984 in Unadilla. For the last nearly 20 years, Jeff worked at UHS Wilson in Johnson City.He loved trains and cars; he enjoyed attending car shows and built two of his own: a 1955 Chevy and 1940 Chevy Pickup truck. He was also a fan of NHRA drag racing. But most of all, Jeff loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by: his father, Willard Nowalk; his wife of 33 years, Linda Nowalk; son and daughter-in-law, Trevor and Kelly Nowalk of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Kacie Nowalk of Glens Falls, NY; 3 granddaughters, Makenna, Myla and Mckinley Nowalk; seven siblings: Susan and Jerry Treadwell, Karen and Roy Ettinger, Wendy and John Reagan, Scott Nowalk, Amy and Dean Mechlowitz, Stacy and Mike Giordani and Todd and Bebra Nowalk; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Jeff was predeceased by his mother, Dolores Nowalk, in 2003.A celebration of Jeff's life will be scheduled at a later date.
