Cavanaugh, Jean W.Jean W. Cavanaugh, 92, of Montrose, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY, on Sunday, February 12, 2017. She was born on March 2, 1924 to Egbert and Carrie Washburn.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Loren S. Winn, Jr. Montrose, PA, son and daughter-in-law, David and Sandra, Montrose, PA, grandchildren, Benjamin (Lynn) Winn, Maine, NY, Carrie (Caleb) Eckhardt, Lansdale, PA, Libby (Chad) Kriner, Maine, NY, Megan (Joshua) Owens, Montrose, PA, Michelle (Zachary) Powell, Locust, NC, Emily (Isaac) Vehmeier, Montrose, PA, great grandchildren, Madison, Evan, Ella, & Judah Winn, Brennan & Tiernan Kriner, Dakota Eckhardt, Abigail, Elliana, & Simeon Owens, and Braden & Breanna Powell, 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Cavanaugh, Susquehanna, PA, Coralie Cavanaugh, Dimock, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Jean was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Francis J. Cavanaugh.She was a member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church, Montrose, PA, and served her Lord faithfully during her lifetime at various churches and communities. Her passion was to serve, whether it was the churches to which she belonged, her family, her friends or the community. She was a woman of grace, mercy, forgiveness and her diligence as a prayer warrior and encourager will be missed by all she touched. Her chief desire was to honor the Lord.A Memorial Service for Jean will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2pm at the historic Bridgewater Baptist Church on Church St in Montrose, PA. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
