Jean C. OverholtJean C. Overholt, 79, passed away on May 23, 2017 at Pathways Hospice Care Center at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, after a long struggle with cancer.Jean was born on November 17, 1937 in Southampton, New York. Jean earned her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene and worked as a Dental Hygienist. In 1990 she decided to pursue her true calling; gemology. Jean completed her training at the Gemology Institute in Santa Monica, California and gained employment as a Graduate Gemologist. Jean moved to Fort Collins in 2003 and married her third husband, Edwin Overholt, in 2005. Sadly Edwin passed away in 2011. Jean retired in 2011 having spent a number of years in the employ of John Atencio Jewelers in Fort Collins. In retirement Jean pursued her love of oil painting and gardening.Jean is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Harvey) Hildreth; son Scott Hildreth; four granddaughters; two great granddaughters; and brother Robert Blinderman.A service for Jean will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Heruka Buddhist Center, 149 W Harvard St, suite 102, Fort Collins.
