Bittman, JeanNov 15, 1923 - 24 Sept, 2016Jean Chisholm Bittman died peacefully at her home in Somerville, Tennessee on September 24th, having lived her life to the fullest! She is survived by her children: David Bittman (Diane) of Baltimore, MD; Liz Klepko (Harry) of Eads, TN, and Bob Bittman (Cindy) of New Orleans, LA. She is also survived by 5 grandsons Brian, Jason, Shane (Anne Marie), Jared (Heather), and Ryan Klepko as well as 12 loving great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph L. Bittman (Major USMC, retired) of New Orleans, LA, her siblings Lewis Clark "Buddy" (Elliott) Chisholm, Corinne Chisholm Elliot (Pete), and James Chisholm.Jean was born on November 15, 1923 in Mobile, AL to Lewis Clark and Katherine Miles Chisholm. She graduated from McMain High School and attended LSU. She married Rudy Bittman in 1943 in Corpus Cristie, TX. They lived in California, North Carolina, New Orleans, and Bradenton, FL. She was a realtor, an avid reader, a bowler, and a golfer. Jean travelled extensively, and always loved spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her active lifestyle and loving willingness to serve her family and friends. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, NOLA by her family and close friends.
