It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jaylynn Sundstrum, who left us in the early morning of February 24, 2025, in Spokane, Washington.
Born on May 13, 1996, to her loving parents Lonnie J Powell and Lisa A Sundstrum, and a total of 5 sisters Maggie, Sadie, Kassiana, SaBreena and Jennifer. Jaylynn brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She lived a vibrant and adventurous life, always ready to try new things and make lasting memories even with her disabilities. Always bringing the sarcasm and wit with her, along with her dog Thunder who was always at her side.
Jaylynn attended Barker Alternative High School, where she graduated with flying colors in 2015. Her quirky sense of humor and infectious smile brightened up every class she attended.
Although she had no children of her own, Jaylynn had a special place in her heart for her family and friends. She was known for her ability to make anyone feel welcomed and accepted. With snarky remarks and being able to flip any sad situation into a happy one.
Unfortunately, Jaylynn's journey came to an end after medical complications following a seizure. While we are saddened, we take comfort in knowing that she is now watching over us with her grandparents and other family members and with her trademark wit and sarcasm.
Rest in peace, dear Jaylynn. Your memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
If you would like to join us to honor her, we will be holding a candlelight visual on Her birthday at River front park at 5pm.
You can to the family or in memory of Jaylynn Sundstrum.
