Janice C. TysonMANSFIELD: Janice C. Tyson, 75, of Mansfield passed away at her home on Monday, November 6, 2017. She was born on November 19, 1941 Ravenswood, West Virginia to the late Albert and Mary (Casto) Carmichael.Janice was a dedicated and devoted mother and grandmother who greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Crossroads Community Church. Janice managed many clubs and restaurants, including the Women's Club. She was also a member with the Amvets,
VFW, and Astowela Garden Club. She enjoyed vacationing in Mexico, gardening, reading, puzzles, being outdoors, dancing, tea parties at her home, cooking, and traveling with the car club to car shows. Janice is survived by her significant other, Donald C. Snyder of Shelby; children, Vicki (Dean Baumberger)
Smith of Mansfield, Sonya (Ron) Baker of Bellville, Jerilyn (Alan) Dailey of Mansfield, Richard (Maureen White) Yoxtheimer of St. Claire Shores, Michigan and David "Rusty" (Gwyn) Yoxtheimer of Mansfield; eleven grandchildren, Jessica Yoxtheimer, Jeremiah Yoxtheimer, Cody Johnson, Nicholas Yoxtheimer, Patrick Yoxtheimer, Alex Dailey, Cassey Dailey, Taylor Yoxtheimer, Blake Yoxtheimer, Joel Yoxtheimer, and Elise Yoxtheimer; fifteen great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Krislyn, Saralyn Yoxtheimer, Kevalyn Lewis, Austin and Nehemiah Yoxtheimer, Layla Johnson, Aubri Bernhart, Patrick Jr. and Nicholi Yoxtheimer, Blakleigh and Braxton Yoxtheimer, Emerson and Anniston Spargo, and Charlie Rose Dailey; great-great granddaughter, Avah Dale Lee and one in the oven; four brothers, Dana (Helen) Carmichael of North Carolina, Danny (Bev) Carmichael of Ashland, Richard Carmichael of Mansfield and Doug Carmichael of Ashland; two sisters, Patsy Gomez of California, and Jeannine (Tom) VanRiper of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Tyson; first husband and father of her children, Richard Yoxtheimer; two brothers, Howard and Joe Carney; and a niece, Kelly Jean Carney.Friends and family may visit from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. Elder Larry Lemaster will officiate a funeral service at 4pm on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a child's toy be donated for children in need for Christmas season and may be brought to the funeral home for the services.
