Janet Cormier, aged 74, of Stafford Springs, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024. She was born on February 4, 1950, and lived a full and beloved life.
Janet was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit. She dedicated much of her time to volunteering in her community and supporting various charitable organizations. She was a true pillar of strength and compassion to all who knew her.
Janet had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful flowers and plants. She found solace and joy in nature, often spending her days outdoors surrounded by the beauty of the world around her.
She was born in Hartford, CT on February 4, 1950, daughter of the late Dorothy (McGonnell) Nigro and Michael Nigro. She leaves behind her husband, Alfred Cormier of Stafford Springs, children: Faith Nigro, Mary Lepak, and Seth Lepak, grandchildren: Caleb Lepak, Chase Sansabrino, grandpup: Hallie Hope, sister: Dorothy Wittenzellner, and brother: Michael Nigro, Jr. She was predeceased by her siblings: Lawrence Nigro, John Nigro, Paul Nigro, Patrick Nigro, James Nigro, and Paula Nigro. Janet was a wonderful woman who was kind, full of laughter and welcoming to all. She loved watching her westerns, veterinary series, and the Dodo videos. Janet lived in Stafford Springs for over 40 years, and was well known and loved by all. She retired from 3M in Stafford Springs where she made many friends.
Janet will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched during her time on Earth.
