Janet Lyman JohnsonNAPLES, FLJanet Lyman Johnson, 85, died at her home in Shorewood, MN on August 21, 2017, after battling pancreatic cancer. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday September 8, 2017, at Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408. Friends and family are invited to attend a reception at The Minikahda Club, 3205 Excelsior Blvd, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55416, following the memorial service. Janet was born on February 29th, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Donald and Helen Lyman. She graduated from Northrup High School with a number of classmates who have remained lifetime friends.Janet was preceded in death by her grandson Chace Johnson; her second husband John Amato; her first husband J. Philip Johnson; and her sister Louise Bodman. Janet is survived by her three children Jill Becklund and husband Jeffrey; Randy Johnson; Brad Johnson and wife Sharon; her sister Mari Lowe and husband Tom; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Janet lived in Naples, Florida October through May each year, and returned to her Minnesota residence in Shorewood at the end of May to be near family. Janet loved to put on and attend parties. She was an active part of a bike group named Whiteliners. She also enjoyed dancing, golfing, and tennis. She was a contributing and participating member of Royal Poinciana Country Club in Naples Florida. She was known for her intense study and application of nutrition information.
