A Life Well Lived

Jane Kirchner, a beloved member of the Louisville community, passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 76. She was known for her kind heart, and empathetic nature when it came to her faith. Jane spent almost 30 years working in Medical Records and as a CMT at a Louisville Nursing Home originally known as Pine Tree Villa. Jane also had a strong spiritual connection with the Ursuline Sisters and Carmelite Nuns at Sacred Heart Village where she ended her career in Geriatric Care. She would spend time with them and take them to their doctor's appointments as well as attend church with them several times a week. They definitely had a special place in her heart. Unfortunately, she suffered a series of massive strokes which caused more issues the past several years that eventually lead to the end of her life.

You could often find Jane in the back yard of her home getting sun while working on her garden. She always loved vacationing at any beach, eating great seafood and loved to shop, especially when she could take her beloved fur baby Chloe with her. Jane was always at the social center when it came to hosting holidays such as Thanksgiving, Easter and the 4th of July, but especially Christmas. She loved to decorate her home and enjoy the holiday spirit with her family and friends throughout the years. Jane also loved to spend evening cozied up on the couch with Chloe watching Judge Judy, Dr. Pol and many other reality tv shows, much to the chagrin of her family. Her presence brought light and joy to most who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her friends, colleagues, and especially her family. May Jane's memory live on in the countless lives she touched with her love and compassion.

Jane is being cremated and there is not a church service being held at this time. The family plans to have a celebration of life event closer to her birthday, when the weather will be warmer. In lieu of sending flowers, please feel free to send a donation to the Ursuline Sisters of Sacred Heart Village or to your own Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughters Stephanie Taxes and Lisa Baker Booth and her son Scott Baker, her mother Virginia Poole (and Norbert 'Norb' Poole), her father Richard H. Linehan, her brother Richard 'Ricky' Linehan, and her Uncle James 'Jim' Clark. Jane is survived by her daughter Carrie K. Turner and her husband Wyatt Turner, her granddaughter Ashley Martin (along with her great-granddaughters Victoria 'Tori' and Mackenzie 'Kenzie' Martin. Her grandson Brandon Booth and his wife Breanna 'Bree' Booth, along with her great-grandchildren Lyric, Whisper, Albus 'Albi' and Stella 'Mooni' Booth. Her niece Cindy Masterson and her Husband Adam, along with their children Asia, A.J., Maddie, and their granddaughters Nova and Aurora. Cindy's Mother Carolyn Dean also played an important role in the end of life care for Jane. Jane is also survived by her Aunt Mary Clark, her children Greg Clark, Krista Grabowski (and her son and daughter) and Lori White, with her husband Steve (and their children).
