Jan R. Belcher, 55, of Patoka, passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Patoka Christian Church in Patoka, with Brother Nathan Schnautz officiating. Burial will be in Pratt Cemetery in Patoka. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour before services on Friday, both at the church. Memorials: Pratt Cemetery or donor's choice. Macz Funeral Home in Patoka was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.maczfuneralhomes.com.Mrs. Belcher was born on Jan. 2, 1961, in Vandalia, the daughter of Lisle Herb and Betty Jolliff. She married Terry "Joe" Belcher on June 21, 1990; he preceded her in death on July 29, 2015.Mrs. Belcher was born and raised in Patoka, and she graduated from Patoka High School in 1979. After graduating, she later worked for Littlefuse Factory and Clinton County Electric as a meter reader. She loved her small town. She was devoted to helping the community by serving on the Fall Festival Committee, her children's school activities, and was a member of the Patoka Christian Church. She loved the holidays and shopping. She enjoyed spending her time at the lake and swimming in her pool. She will be lovingly remembered for wearing shorts years round and having a cup of sweet tea in her hand. Jan was a devoted wife and mother. Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her family.She is survived by her son, Nick Belcher of Patoka; daughter, Abby Belcher of Patoka; mother, Betty Sanders of Patoka; sister, Christie and her husband Dale Hohman of Carlyle; brother, Lindy Jolliff and his wife Dee of Nashville; brother-in-law, Allen Belcher and his wife Janice of Patoka; sisters-in-law, Cheryl and her husband Clyde Barnes, and Teresa and her husband Mike Thalman, both of Patoka; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Lynnette; mother-in-law, Jean Belcher; a niece, Stormi Jolliff; and a nephew, Greg Hassebrock.
