James E. WhiteMerritt IslandJames E. White, 90, passed away on February 1, 2017 in Merritt Island, FL.James was born on March 2, 1926, in Indianapolis, IN, to parents John and Marie White.James was a Marine, proposing to his wife Virginia the day before his deployment. They married one another a week after his return to Indianapolis 4 years later. In 1964, they moved to Merritt Island, where James owned his own home building company.He was a clown for the Shriners, a member of the Elks Lodge, and loved playing poker and working in his yard.He was predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters, and one brother.James is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Virginia as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.A visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Monday, February 6, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, followed by a funeral mass at 11 am. Interment will follow immediately after at Brevard Memorial Park.
