James (Jimmy) Morgan, born March 3, 1947 passed away at age 77 on January 31, 2025 in Winterville, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Ruth Morgan and his loving wife of 38 years, Pat Morgan. Jimmy is survived by his three children Callie Morgan, Laura Pieper, and Amy Morgan along with son-in-law John Pieper and many faithful friends. He had three grandchildren that he loved dearly- Matt Pieper, Shelby Pieper, and Morgan Hall.

A sports enthusiast, Jimmy spent many days of his youth playing the position of second baseman with the Athens Little League, the Pony League, and the very first team of the Boys Club of Athens. He made Allstars and, according to his childhood best friend Steve Gordon, was " very, very good". His later years were filled with love and the joy of the little things in life- Spending time with Pat and Callie, kicking back in the company of his wonderful friends, listening to the best music and sipping on an ice cold beer.

Jimmy will be deeply missed by his family and friends while living on in their hearts forever, and great joy is found in this sadness as we know he is reunited with his dearest Pat.
