James Logan, beloved husband, father, and community leader, passed away on January 15, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. He was born on May 14, 1992, to James and Michelle Logan.
James was married to Angela Logan in 2013 and together they had three children: Niamani Logan, James Anthony Logan, and Liliana Logan. He was a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first.
James attended Lugoff-Elgin High School, graduating in 2010. He went on to Midlands Technical College, graduating in 2021. He worked at Dss South Carolina Department of Social Services. He was awarded the Internal Customer Service Award for his exemplary work ethic.. He was also actively involved in the Young Negus Foundation organization, that him, his brother Xavier Gardner, and bestfriend Kaci Ann Herrington-Garrett founded together.
During his time in the Army as a Spc in the 1st Cav unit for 5 years, James was dedicated to serving his country with honor and distinction. James graduated basic training at Ft. Benning and his A.I.T training at Ft. Gordon. He was stationed in Korea, Bragg, and Hood. Finishing his army career at Ft. Hood.
Outside of his professional life, James was known for his lyrical finesse with words and had a passion for creating music, tattoos, football (especially the Cowboy Nation), Law and Order, basketball, drawing, and watching New Girl. He was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
The cause of his death was undetermined. James Logan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Forever he will be remembered and honored by his Loft Mates..
