James M. LagoLexingtonLexington- James M. Lago, age 74, a resident of Lexington passed away at his residence on Friday, May 12, 2017. He was born on December 3, 1942 in Lexington a son of the late Elmer and Frances (Girou) Lago.  He married Selma K. Newton on August 24, 1963 in Lexington.  She preceded him in death on April 24, 2011. Jim was an excavator and worked for Dennison Construction and Weiss Excavating.  He loved to fish and go deer hunting. He is survived by two children Michael (Patricia) Lago of Monroe and Tracy (Dennis) VanLoo of Ft. Gratiot. 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  A brother Donald (Lois) Lago of Lexington; two sisters Carol Relken and Donna (Chuck) Davis both of Port Huron. Visitation will be from 10-1 P.M. on Wednesday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home. Rev. Rich Kriesch, retired Methodist minister will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Croswell Cemetery.
