James Waters of Panama City, Florida, was called home July 21, 2025, at the age of 59. He was born on December 17, 1965, to James Earl Waters and Minnie Pearl Waters.

James married Angie Jefferson in the year 2000, and although they did not have any children, he loved and cherished Angie’s kids like they were his own. He would always say Ashley Jefferson, Rodshawd Hayes (Tiana) and Kyneshia Anderson were his kids and nobody else’s. James, Angie and their kids shared a lifetime of love and laughter together. Along with HIS kids, he also cherished his first great great child, Rodshawd Hayes Jr, whom he called his “little man” and “fishing buddy”.

He attended Rutherford High School, graduating in 1983, and was an active member of the community, volunteering his time with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club and the YMCA.

James had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy, including fishing, hunting, swimming, and listening to music.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, and zest for life. James will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
