James Burns, 60, of Albemarle, North Carolina, passed Sunday, January 14, 2018. James was born to Rodney Burns, and Bertha Burns, September 12, 1957, in Albemarle, North Carolina.

James graduated from Albemarle High and received a degree from Rowan Community College. He married Joyce Poole and they lived together in Albemarle. James was a respected Rail Man until he retired.

James is survived by 7 children: Artis Burns Jr (Cierra Burns), Kinwan Burns, James Burns(deceased), Thomas Poole, Shirley Burns, Katie Poole, and Sharniece Crowe. He also is survived by 5 grandchildren.
