FAIRBORN - Jackson C. Walls, age 86 of Franklin, formerly of Springfield, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 10, 2015. He was born on November 27, 1928 to the late Cecil F. and Helen O. (Proctor) Walls in Springfield, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his siblings: Marjorie Graham, Marion Walls, Merle Walls, Donna Cox and Harry Walls. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 68 years, Georgia (Smith) Walls; children: Bruce (Liz) Walls of Middletown, Ohio and Carol (Bert) Hubbard of Blacksburg, Virginia; siblings: Phyllis Kuntze, Patricia Bussard, Larry Walls and Ronnie Walls; grandchildren: Sara (Aaron) Sexton and Emily (Bobby) Wright as well as great-grandchildren: Shawn and Liam Wright. Jack was a Minister of Education and Youth. He served in Baptist churches in Louisville, Kentucky; Adel, Georgia, Dayton, Ohio and Fairborn, Ohio. Jack served as the State Director of Religious Education and Editor of the Baptist Newsletter in West Virginia. After retirement Jack and Georgia became missionary's with the European Baptist Convention serving in England and Germany. Jack and Georgia enjoyed flying in Bruce's airplane to sites across the nation and to visit Carol, her children and grandchildren. Jack was a faithful and committed Christian who was deeply devoted to his wife, his family and his country. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with a celebration of life service immediately following, Pastor Dave Hill officiating. Burial at Rose Hill Burial Park with military honors.
