Jackson Earl Gladden died in his home on June 2, 2018, in Chester, SC due to complications with his health. He was 78.

Mr.Gladden was born on May 16, 1940, in Chester, SC to his parents, Shirley- Mae and Earl Gladden. He married Bethel Jonesy in 1958, after believing her to be the love of his life at the age of 18. They then moved together onto family land that Jackson's family inherited in Rock Hill, SC. He retired in 2000 and dedicated his remaining time to being a caregiver to his grandchildren and tending to the family garden which contributed to the neighborhood farmer's market.

Mr.Gladden is survived by his wife Bethel Jonesy-Gladden. Also his daughter and son-in-law, Janet and James Hutchinson of Philadeplhia, Pensylvania; his son, Willie Gladden; his youngest daughter, Tawanda Gladden, both of Washington, D.C.; his four grandchildren Briana Riche, Tayla Gladden, Brandi Gladden and Tai'won Gladden: and his three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Shirley-Mae and Earl Gladden; his brother, Earnest Gladden; and his daughter, Earnestine Gladden.

Unfortunately, Mr. Gladden will not be having a going home service, however, for close family and friends, there will be a private ceremony of the body viewing. That will take place on June 8th, 2018.
