We celebrate the life of Jackie Evans, who was born on November 28, 1949, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, United States, to parents Joel Ellsworth Evans and Sarah Katherine Herbert. Jackie peacefully passed away on January 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Jack is survived by his wife Jill Moffatt Evans of 53 yrs married.His siblings Larry Evans and spouse Nellie Evans , Jeffery Evans and spouse Robin Evans, Cheryl Mills and spouse John Mills . Jack and Jill shared two children Brandy Jo Evans Zielsdorf (spouse Ronald Edwin Zielsdorf) and William Joel Evans (partner Billie Jo Whiting), as well as six cherished grandchildren Noah Christopher Zielsdorf , Layla Johelen Zielsdorf, Lola Josara Zielsdorf, Willow Renee Evans, Dixie Arlene Evans , Scott Hicks and two great grandchildren Delilah Jo Zielsdorf , and Stella Rose Hicks.
Jackie attended Connellsville Senior High School, graduating in 1967. He went on to work at the Osceola County Road & Bridge Department, retiring in 2004. Jackie was also a dedicated volunteer at the Dawson Volunteer Fire Department and Fayette County Division of Forestry.
Jackie proudly served in the United States Navy as a Seaman Apprentice in the USS Coral Sea and USS Hornet units from 1969 to 1975. In his free time, Jackie enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, and any outdoor activities.
Jack will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to serving his community and country. He will be sadly and deeply missed . Always a loving husband , brother , father, grandfather and great grandfather

Jack passed away at his home after battling a long-term illness. May he rest in peace.
