Jack Henry HatmacherWASHINGTON CH: JACK HENRY HATMACHER, age 77, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Bradenton, Florida.He was born on September 27, 1939 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Harold "Hattie" and Chloe Wilcox Hatmacher. Jack was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School. Jack worked for Armco Steel as a crane operator and retired from there after 44 years. He was currently working as a part-time custodian at the Grace United Methodist Church in Washington CH, where he was also an active member. Jack proudly served his country in the Ohio Army National Guard and retired after 22 ½ years of service. He was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of
Elks Lodge #129, the Good Hope Lions Club, and the Fayette County Fish and Game Association. Jack enjoyed camping, boating, traveling, and reading. He was an accomplished "jack of all trades," and never hesitated to lend a hand. He was a generous, kind, and gentle man who was loved by everyone who knew him.Jack was preceded in death his parents; brothers, Harold Hatmacher, and Ted Hatmacher; nephew, Mark Hatmacher; and granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Hurtt.Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife, Linda Dunnagan Hatmacher, whom he married on September 4, 1960; daughters, Stacy Hurtt, and Stephanie (Dallas) Bell, both of Washington CH; granddaughter, Rachel Hurtt of Orlando, FL; grandson, Zeth (Brittany) Bell, and their son, Carter Bell of Odenton, MD. Also surviving are several beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends from Ohio and Florida.The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Mick Whistler and Deacon Rob Joseph of Our Lady of Victory in Columbus officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Friday evening from 4-7:00 p.m., and again on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Grace United Methodist Church, 301 E.
