Oklahoma City and the medical community mourn the loss of J.R. Brinkley, who passed away at the age of 43. Born on February 8, 1920, J.R. dedicated his life to helping others as a respected physician in the Oklahoma City area. Known for his odd way of treating sickness, and experiments he ran in his office. He also got his doctor's license revoked. He ran for governor as well. He would put his name on pencils so his supporters knew how to spell his name. Many historians say this was the first state-wide campaign in American history.
You can to the family or in memory of J.R. Brinkley.
