Ivan Lee ThompsonJune 18, 1934 - July 6, 2016Ivan Lee Thompson, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2016,, in Logan, Utah. He was born on June 18, 1934, in Richmond, Utah, the only child of Ivan Cyril and Blanche Meikle Thompson. He graduated from North Cache High School. He volunteered to be drafted in November 1954 and was stationed at Ft Hood, Texas, before going to Korea. After receiving his honorable discharge in 1959, he went to work at Hill Field and worked as a drafter until 1982 when he retired and returned home to Richmond. He has always enjoyed fishing up High Creek and traveling to Nevada and Southern Utah in his trailer. He always had cats as pets and was known to feed a few extras as well. Lee raised apple trees and liked trying different grafts on various trees to change and improve different types of apples. He loved spending time with friends having outdoor cookouts and could always be found visiting friends and neighbors at LD's cafe. He is survived by his extended family, cousins, close friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 12 noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 11-11:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
