She married Henry P Alford Jr. and they lived together in Tatum, Texas. Together they raised 1 child Henry P Alford III (Kaltrena Alford). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
Irene graduated from Mayflower Highschool Tatum,Tx in 1954.
Irene worked at Housekeeping until she retired in 1996 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.
