Ida Arnold GibsonAGE: 80 • Port Orange,FlIda Arnold Gibson of Port Orange, FL (formerly of Wall Township and Keyport, NJ) passed away on 8/27/17 at the age of 80.She is predeceased by her husband Robert of 42 years, parents Albert & Martha Arnold, and brother Bill Arnold.Ida is survived by her 2 children, Wendy Misita with grandchildren Tony and Alexis (FL), and Dr. Glen Gibson (& Tracy) with grandchildren Eric, Alayna and Kelly (MD). Also sisters: Patricia (& Don) Vanderlaan, Carol (& Ray) Demers, Kathy (& George) Planinsek, (all in FL). Also brothers: Albert & Steve Arnold (NJ), as well as other extended family.Ida was born on 4/13/37 in Perth Amboy, NJ. She earned her BS in Nursing at Bob Jones University. She was employed at hospitals and nursing homes in NJ and FL and retired in 1999.Ida loved her Lord, family and her church family and her friends. She was a long-time member of Avon Baptist Church where she served there in many areas. She enjoyed volunteering for many years at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center. Ida also loved reading, traveling, scrapbooking and spending time with her 5 precious grandchildren.Burial will be at Glendola Cemetery through Johnson-McGinley Funeral Home, Wall, NJ at 11am on Monday, 9/4/17.If desired, memorial donations may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship or Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center.Condolences may be shared through the online guestbook at Lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
