AUBURN — Hubert Forest Steininger, 91, of Auburn died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at DeKalb Health hospital in Auburn. Mr. Steininger was born on April 15, 1925 in South Bend to Forest and Viola (Lusher) Steininger. He married his wife of 70 years, Marcelyn "Marcy" Rohm on June 8, 1946 in Auburn. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2016. Mr. Steininger honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. He worked at several different places as a printer for a total of 62 years including Courier Printing of Allen County in Grabill. He also owned and operated Print Masters in Auburn from 1984 until he retired in 2008. Mr. Steininger was a founding member of the Auburn Alliance Church in Auburn. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Sherrill Steininger of Fort Wayne, Phillip and Joan Steininger of Camas, Washington, and Keith and Kathy Steininger of Upland, Pennsylvania; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Franklin Doty of Auburn and Mary and Wayne Gonser of LaGrange; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law; Evangeline Steininger of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marcy; six brothers, Dwight, Dee, Emmett, Leo, William and Don Steininger; and a sister, Wanda Bowman. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Auburn Alliance Church, 805 Old Brick Road, Auburn, with Pastor Shaun DuFault officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 S. Center St., Auburn and one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10:-11 a.m. Memorials are to Voice of the Martyrs and the Auburn Alliance Church.
