Howard R JenningsFort Pierce, FLHoward R Jennings, 93, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2017. He was born on April 21st, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Stanton Jennings and Sadie Markel Jennings. He was a proud Marine veteran of World War II with Purple Heart honors.He worked for TWA airlines as Director of Government Marketing for over 25 years. Upon retirement he owned and operated Buena Vista Cafe in San Francisco for six years which is still known for its famous Irish coffee. In 1979 he moved to Fort Pierce, FL. He is preceded by his parents and his wife of 58 years, Dorothy I. Jennings. He is survived by his partner of 10 years Virginia Lappe, daughters Jacquelyn (Kenneth) Weigand of Manhasset, NY and Jolene (Gaspare) Cappello of Wilmington DE, grandsons, Kenneth Jennings Weigand, Michael Edwin Weigand, Brian Howard Weigand, Daniel Jennings Cappello, Michael Joseph Cappello, granddaughter Dana Lyn Colbert and 10 great granddaughters. A visitation will be held at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, on Thursday September 28th, at 12:00 to 1:00 pm, followed by a service at 1:00. Entombment will follow with military honors at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation, 1201 S.E.
