It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Honorio Jaime Pina Sr., who was born on December 22, 1955, in Mercedes, Texas, United States. He passed away on January 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Honorio Pina Sr was preceded in death by his loving parents Miguel and Gabriela Pina, & niece Priscilla Ann Jimenez. He was the devoted husband of Maria Yolanda Pina, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. They were blessed with three children: Amy Pina (Roel Roman), Honorio Jaime Pina (Rose Webster), and Christina Pina (Raul Galicia). He is also survived by one sister Odolina Jimenez (Alex) and Miguel Pina Jr (Norma). Numerous nieces and nephews an abundance of family and friends.
He was a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, & 2 great-granddaughters due in Jan and Feb.
Honorio graduated from Mercedes High School in 1975 and went on to make a positive impact on all those he made friends with, his jokes always made someone’s day. He was a man filled with love and laughter.
He will be remembered for his love of billiards and his dedication to his family. Honorio's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
