In Loving Memory of Henry "Smokey" Schulze of Conroe, Texas who passed away on October 4, 2016 in Conroe at the age of 81. Smokey was born on February 22, 1935 in Washington, DC to Henry Herman Schulze, Sr and Hazel (Park) Schulze who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving family: wife of 47 years, Mary Ellen (Allison) Schulze; sons, Leslie Walters, Henry H. Schulze, III and Guy Dugan Schulze and his wife, Christa; sister, Sedie Pitcher; and twelve grandchildren.
Over the years Smokey belonged to many volunteer and charitable organizations, some of them are as follows: longtime member of the Jaycee's in Virginia, a 32 degree Mason in Virginia, member of the American Legion in Crockett, Texas, as well as, the VFW and Elks Lodge in Conroe. He was also a devoted Magnolia Bend Volunteer Fireman for many years and member of the Montgomery County Fair Association. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict era.
Smokey was an outgoing, loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Schulzes' residence on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016 at Noon to honor Smokey.
