Kenneth (Ken) Schmidt, 83, formerly of Indianapolis passed from this life to the next on Sunday, July 23, 2023 under hospice care in Columbus, IN.

He was born on December 3, 1939, in Kankakee, Illinois, the fourth son of Howard F. and Esther J. Raus Schmidt. Ken attended Kankakee High School where he played basketball and baseball, graduating in 1957. He then attended the University of Illinois and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Ken graduated with a degree in Finance in 1961. On June 8, 1963, he married Yolanda S. Soucie. 

In keeping with Mr. Schmidt's wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 North Meridian, Indianapolis, Indiana 46260 at a later date. Service times will be posted as they become available.

Inurnment will follow at Second Presbyterian Church.
