Hellen's obituary

Hellen Proctor, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 80, in Waco, Texas. She was born on April 1, 1944, to Frank and Helen Moss, and was happily married to Sheldon Proctor for 55 years.

Hellen is survived by her three children, Tammy Proctor, Ada White, and Henry Proctor; brother Eugene Moss; grandchildren, Cedric White, Tasha White, Bruce Proctor II, and Brandon Proctor; great grandchildren Tamika White, Diana White, Koby Proctor, Jerard and La'shayla Proctor; daughter-in-law Joan Proctor.

Hellen was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Moss; husband Sheldon Proctor; sisters Angela and Nell White; Son Bruce Allen Proctor; grandson Henry Bruce Proctor

Aside from her family, Hellen dedicated much of her time to helping others through her work with the Cooking for soup kitchens organization. She had a passion for cooking and found joy in sharing meals with those in need.

In her free time, Hellen enjoyed gardening and quilting. Her green thumb and creative spirit brought beauty and warmth to her community.

Hellen passed away peacefully from natural causes, surrounded by loved ones. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and love for life.

A service to celebrate Hellen’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery, located at 2124 South 5th Street, Waco, TX 76706. McDowell Funeral Home in Waco, Texas, is assisting the family during this time.
